What is Pediatric Advanced Life Support training?
The PALS training from the American Red Cross prepares healthcare workers to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies. The training is scientifically equivalent to other courses and educationally
superior choice for healthcare organizations. Not only does it include the latest science-based curriculum, but with options that allow you to streamline your organization’s resuscitation training and improve skill retention, it can help your organization
better serve the smallest and most vulnerable patients.
Through HealthStream, the program can be delivered in an online format with skills verified on a high-fidelity, hStream certified manikin, and in-person skills verification, or a fully
live format led by an instructor.
What does PALS training include?
The Red Cross Resuscitation Suite is evidence-based and founded on the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) scientific guidelines, making this program compliant with all U.S. guidelines for healthcare resuscitation programs. This program is also reviewed under the guidance of the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council - a panel of nationally recognized experts from a wide range of scientific, medical, and academic disciplines. They ensure the information provided meets or exceeds local, state and/or national standards.

PALS Certification
PALS courses are designed for healthcare providers who care for critical pediatric patients, including those working in-hospital, pre-hospital, and out-of-hospital medical facilities.
We provide experienced participants an opportunity to test
out of sessions if they demonstrate competency, which can reduce overall class time and help healthcare workers efficiently earn their PALS certificate.
A prerequisite for enrollment is proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.
